Can you explain this funding to me?

Absolutely! This funding is called a non-recourse advance. In a non-recourse advance, you are agreeing to sell a portion of the potential proceeds from your lawsuit. It is paid from your recovery amount, after your attorney’s fees. If you do not win your case, you owe nothing to Lion Capital Funding.

How much money can you fund me?

The amount of funding is determined by the details of your case. While your lawyer works to settle your claim, we can provide 10-15% of the expected recovery, after attorney fees.

Are there upfont costs? What fees do you charge?

No, there are no upfront costs, and you won't pay anything until your case settles. 
Our fees are the most competitive in the industry.  We charge an application and processing fee. The rate on your pre settlement advance is always 16% non-compounding for each 6 month period of time. All fees are disclosed and explained in advance to our clients. We believe in transparency and ensure all clients understand the associated fees.

How long does the process take?

In most cases, less than 24 hours!

What documents are required to assess the amount of funding available on my case?

We will need a copy of the Plaintiff’s Complaint, the Defendant’s Answer, Police or incident reports, a list of medical bills incurred and a copy of relevant medical records (i.e. Surgery reports, MRI reports, etc.). We will never ask for information or documents subject to attorney-client privilege.

Will my lawyer need to sign any documents?

Yes. Your lawyer will need to sign the “Acknowledgement by Counsel” where he or she acknowledges the assignment of a portion of the proceeds and agree to pay the amount due from the settlement proceeds to Lion Capital Funding upon settlement of the case.

Does Lion Capital Funding get involved with my case?

Not at all. Your case will be handled by your lawyers - we're just here to provide funding.
